On February 9, 1964 - The Beatles arrived in the United States in New York City to make their American television debut, on The Ed Sullivan Show. For the next several years, they amazed audiences worldwide with their singing, melodies, creativity, and amazing instrumentation with 3 people rotating on vocals while all playing large guitars. Their influence is undeniable, their impact on America (especially Baby boomer girls) is beyond words, and they helped to cheer people up after the assassination of JFK. We petition President Obama to formally invite Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, the last two surviving Beatles members, to the White House for medal/noble/honorable distinctive recognition. February 9th 2014 will be their 50th anniversary of their first performance in these United States.
