Despite the best intentions of Barack Obama and his administration, the fact of the matter is that the petitions section of the White House website has become a den of deluded maniacs and inflammatory contrarians looking for satisfaction that is either, idiotic, non-existent, impossible or, as is the case in the vast majority of submissions, some abominable combination of the three.
Idealism is to be lauded for it took us from savagery and despotism to democracy; to the rule of equality and law. However the fact of the matter remains that this page has been hijacked by conspiracy theorists and those seeking temporary amusement. So please for the sake of human dignity issue a formal statement declaring everyone here some variety of stupid. The smarter idiots won't mind.
