Julian Assange created Wikileaks, an online news source for whistleblowers to safely reveal the truth about corporations and governments that were abusing their roles in society. In 2010, there was a major leak of US government cables that was released to wikileaks, and subsequently posted on the website. Since then, the US government has attempted to prosecute Julian Assange under the espionage act. He has taken asylum in a small Ecuadorian embassy in London to avoid these charges that are being held against him.
