Terrorism is defined as "the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims". This definition is the same definition used to declare ISIS and other groups as terrorist organisations. The KKK has a history marked by the fear, discrimination, abuse, and killing of African Americans and all other minority groups that do not fit its hateful ideology. In its violent pursuit of white supremacy, the organisation threatens our very American ideals of peace, freedom, and tolerance. It is time the government formally recognise the KKK for what it is, terror.
