formally request that Congress enact legislation to have Fred Roger's birthday enshrined in law as a federal holiday.

Fred Rogers touched millions of children through his TV programme, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. He taught us the wonderment of being a child and the simple fact that we were special too. For 30 years we were his neighbors and he always had a kind word, so lets take a day, March 20th, to remind ourselves of this great American.We can remember how he shaped generations of children and to pass the kindness he showed us on to others in our lives.
