Formally request that Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig induct Pete Rose into the MLB Hall of Fame

Created by M.G. on April 18, 2014

There are few baseball players who have ever played with as much heart as Pete Rose. Proven steroid users are going to be allowed into the MLB Hall of Fame, yet it has never even been proven that Pete Rose bet against his own team. There was no unfair advantage when he bet, and 25 years is more than enough of a punishment for betting. We all know that eventually Pete Rose will be allowed into the Hall of Fame, but a posthumous induction would be an unfair tragedy. We are supposed to be a country of Freedom and Redemption. Pete Rose is unarguably one of the greatest and most hard-working baseball players ever to play the game. He deserves to be in the Hall. Justice, Truth, & Honor are core American principles, but so too are Forgiveness, Fairness, & Humanity.
