Jeopardy! is an essential element of the education of the United States, and beyond, and has been recognized as such with a Peabody Award for its role in encouraging, celebrating, and rewarding knowledge. With host Alex Trebek's retirement in 2016, this cultural institution needs an effective hand to guide its tradition. In addition to being its most successful contestant, Ken Jennings is humble, hilarious, and an ambassador for knowledge with four books that make a wide variety of knowledge accessible to the non-expert.
Jeopardy is the greatest game show of all time and it is important that it be protected with the choice of an appropriate host. Ken Jennings should be that host.
