Formally separate Church and State, Secularize the country, effectively allowing marriage to stay in the Churches' hands

Created by B.D. on April 10, 2013

The United States was founded on the premise of equality, as well as the abstaining of Federal entities to process or regulate religious affairs. The Federal Government has failed to correspond with the Founding Father' ideas that the Government should keep religious principles and decisions in the Churches' hands. If the Church decides independently it would accept marrying LGBT couples, the Federal Government should not be allowed both ethically, and legally, to exert power over the Church. Therefore it is only plausible the United States Federal Government should secularize and repeal all laws restricting or infringing on religious rights.
