Guantanamo Bay Detention Center is an unconstitutional and unethical center violating not only the fifth and sixth amendments, but also basic human rights. The accusations from detainees, declassified documents and leaked documents show the torture programs and other cruel and unusual punishment used at Guantanamo Bay. The current detainees should be given a formal and fair trial in the United States. Also, all accusations of torture or cruel and unusual punishment should be formally investigated by both the U.S. government and the United Nations, with each party being given complete access to classified documents regarding the torture programs of Guantanamo Bay. Everyone deserves these rights, no matter who they are or who they are accused of being.
