The United States have shaky foreign policies at best, although Britain has often "had America's back", a formal agreement would be beneficial to both countries in order to strengthen ties, economies, and open a gateway for American foreign traders into Europe through one, if not the, most influential countries there, thus creating jobs and stimulating the economy of both countries.
