States that would form this new purposed state include: Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Connecticut. Not in anyway is this petition asking for succession from the United States of America.
The reason for creation of a new state stems from New England being a federally recognized region. Having a strong sense of cultural identity of brotherhood, liberalism, agrarian life with industry. These ideals, among many others has shaped us from our founding since Plymouth Bay Colony to the industrial revolution and into the modern day. New England prides itself on education, industry, justice, and brotherhood; but we can do better if united. This is why I'm asking for unity of New England as a single state within the United States of America.
