Attorney General Eric Holder and the Justice Department have labeled the Fort Hood shooting by Maj. Nidal Hasan as “workplace violence” rather than the act of terrorism. Because of the distinction, the brave men and women who were injured in the terrorist attack are not eligible for decorations, such as a Purple Heart, or combat-related benefits.
This needs to be changed to exactly what it was. A viscous ACT of TERROR by a Terrorist.
Pay the benefits these men and women deserve.
