This petition is to support the creation and addition of a forums page to whitehouse.gov. Having a forums on this site would aid the people in communicating with their government as to their needs and wants.
Currently, many officials and departments use other social media as a means to communicate. However, these sites are often limited in facilitating in-depth discussion.
A centralized system of communication between the public and government would provide a place that would encourage civil activism and discussion. Adding it to the already existing whitehouse website would make it easier for government officials to communicate with the people, and to know what the public attitudes are about current agendas.
