It appears to me that about 5% of the petitions I see here have any business being here whatsoever. Most are well outside the scope of the Executive Office, and many more are outside the scope of the powers of Congress.
This is causing delays in actions that could have otherwise already been completed if the information was received by the appropriate agencies.
Either link petitions.whitehouse.gov to State and provincial organizations which have the means and legal authority to act on such things
OR
Forward these petitions to their respective agencies on the behalf of the People.
This drops the complaints against Washington for failing to act on things upon which it is not legally allowed to act and it holds the other entities who ARE responsible for these matters accountable.
