We the undersigned urge the President to work across party lines to facilitate the bipartisan cooperation in Congress that will allow our legislators to pass an effective job stimulus package. We have done our part as active citizens to cast our votes for Congressional legislators to represent our varied political views, but we recognize that compromise is needed to move our country forward. We will not be content with a political stalemate on the issue of job creation.
In addition, we request that this process of debate and compromise be recorded and made public so that we may judge for ourselves which legislators are putting forth reasonable efforts to facilitate thoughtful compromise. We will act accordingly to ensure their accountability to this end.
