Whereas: The majority of the American people recognize the need for common sense
legislation with regard to commonly used weapons of assault and murder.
Whereas: Recent events in Tennessee and Pennsylvania have sparked a “national discussion”
with regards to these dangerous weapons and the increasing frequency of their use.
Whereas: The Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime statistics clearly show that murders
committed with hammers and other blunt objects far exceed that of even the worlds
most deadly “assault rifles”.
We, the fearful masses of these United States do hereby propose the following legislation:
