Saeed Abedini is an American citizen who has been imprisoned in an Iranian prison. His crime? Simply being a Christian. Now he faces torture and separation from his wife and two children.
This petition is meant to encourage the White House to put all of its energy and resources to free Pastor Abedini. As an American citizen, Mr. Abedini has a right to the First Amendment and the freedom to practice his faith. As the leader of the free world, the president, regardless of party affiliation, should seek to ensure that all Americans around the world have the right to freedom of religion.
