Zack Shahin is an American citizen, husband, and father of two children, who has been held in a Dubai prison for six years without an upheld conviction. Mr. Shahin's attorneys and other legal counsel has written many times to President Obama and his administration to no avail. A defendant in a criminal case has a right to a speedy trial under the Sixth Amendment to the US Constitution. Since Mr. Shahin has been imprisoned for over six years without conviction, his constitutional rights are being violated. We, the people of the United States of America, demand justice for Zack Shahin by releasing him from prison and returning him to his chosen homeland and to the arms of his family.
