Free American Political Prisoner Bhai Resham Singh and Support Sikh Religious Rights in India

Created by V.F. on December 06, 2016

On November 4, 2016, India arrested and charged Resham Singh, an American, with sedition. He is V.P. of the Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar, USA and was taken by Amritsar Police when he visited India to attend Sarbat Khalsa. The arrest of Mr. Singh violates Indian law and international treaties that guarantee freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, freedom from torture and due process. Mr. Singh has been kept shackled and is deprived of sleep, proper medical care and rest. India also threatens other Americans for their peaceful participation in Sarbat Khalsa, including Surjit Singh Kalhar and Bhupinder Singh.

Please help procure Resham Singh’s release and support Sikh religious freedom, including the right to assemble at the Sarbat Khalsa in India.
