It is six years into his presidency and this petition calls on President Obama to support two causes of vital importance to Afrikan/Black people in the United States.
First he must free/pardon "Sister" Assata Shakur, a "framed" Afrikan.Black "freedom fighter who was falsely imprisoned in 1977 for her Black Nationalist activities and has been given political asylum in Cuba since 1979.
Secondly, President Obama as "head of state," should officially "apologize for slavery!!" This would officially open the diplomatic door to send the "reparations" for the
descendants of slaves in this country issue to the legal body known as the International World Court for a final decision on the possible disposition of land and monetary compensation for the violation of human rights known as slavery.
