For years the cable TV companies have been monopolizing the industry with unfair business practices affecting consumers across the nation. According to a research conducted by the FCC published the Time.com Money section in February 17 2016, it was forecasted that cable prices were on the rise at a quadruple rate inflation. The FCC had concluded that in 2014 the so called "most popular cable package", as defined by the FCC, cable services had increased by 5.1% and according to other sources there has been increases of up to 8% per year since 2010.
The Problems? Pricier unaffordable services and people do not have a choice of provider to mitigate costly services that at times do not even work properly.
