free Cameron D’Ambrosio and stop the abuse of Americans' first amendment rights by overzealous law enforcement officials

Created by C.H. on May 22, 2013

Earlier this month Cameron D'Ambrosio, an 18 year-old high school student from Methuen, MA was arrested for making terroristic threats - by posting offensive rap lyrics he'd written on Facebook.com. These lyrics referenced the Boston bombing and referred to the White House in a negative light. Still, as offensive as they were, the lyrics he posted are no more violent than mainstream rap lyrics kids his age are exposed to every day.

The government did not arrest the members of NWA when they referred to killing police officers in their music. Why? Because Americans still have freedom of expression - even if it's disagreeable and offensive.

But not in Mass, where a high school student is jailed on $1 million dollar bond and faces a 20 year prison sentence.
