Free Dwight and Steven Hammond

Father and son, Dwight L. Hammond, 74, and Steven D. Hammond, 46, are currently serving a 5 year sentence under the Anti-terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996 for having started two range fires on their property that spread onto less than 140 acres of their own BLM range. The fires were set by the BLM. The Hammonds set a back fire to protect their property and the fire jumped on the BLM land which ultimately helped the land. The Hammonds are a ranching family in Harney County Oregon and have been upstanding salt of the earth type people. They have paid over $400,000 in civil fees and have already spent time in federal prison for the fires, but were recently resentenced after an appeal by the Federal prosecutor. Please free the Hammonds and right this injustice
