The President should order an immediate review of the circumstances reported in the New York Times regarding the conviction of Edward Young and his sentencing to prison for 15 years. If true there should be an immediate pardon for Edward Young and a formal apology for this miscarriage of justice. Similar cases should also be reviewed, and US Attorneys instructed to exercise responsibility and restraint.
The professional judgement of the US Attorney in this case should be reviewed in detail along with his other prosecutions.
