Beal is the founder of the Global Marijuana March, in which hundreds of cities around the world protest cannabis prohibition on the first Saturday of May. He is also known for bringing the attention of the public to ibogaine, a valuable tool in the struggle against drug addiction. He is currently imprisoned in the state of Nebraska.
