Irwin Schiff is in the Federal Correctional Institute in Fort Worth, TX serving a his 10th year in a 13 year prison sentence, for non-violent tax crimes. He has been recently diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, and his family is requesting he be granted compassionate release. The process is happening at a snail's pace and if not expedited it may be too late.
Please do not let Irwin die alone in a prison cell. Regardless if you believe in his causes, this is a travesty to hold an 87 year old, legally blind, terminal cancer patient in a jail cell for non-violent crimes. Please let him go home for his final days.
