Free Jonathan Pollard, and pardon his life sentence in jail.

Created by A.C. on December 03, 2011

Jonathan Pollard was a spy for a country that is an American Ally, not an enemy. He does not deserve life in prison for his crimes. Pollard is devoted to his home country - Israel, and that should not be held against him. Being a Jewish American, as well as being a Zionist, means that loyalties may not necessarily solely lie in America. The person would be equally loyal to both countries. However, when one is "forced" to choose one country over another, they will choose the one they feel more of a connection to and duty for. For some American Jews, like Pollard, Israel is that country. For others, it America. We cannot sentence a man to life in prison for his beliefs (and unharmful action he took for them).
