Pollard was sentenced to life in prison in 1987 for passing classified material to Israel. Having served over 10,000 days in prison, he is now in poor health, and his case has become a rallying cry for Israelis and Jews the world over. We believe that Pollard’s 28 years in prison are excessive punishment.
He represents no threat to the United States, no American has died or even been harmed from his disclosures, he is not well, and his release would be a great humanitarian gesture.
We implore President Obama and the United States government to review this case and free a man who has given so much.
