Justina Pelletier is a 15 year old girl from West Hartford, CT. Since early 2013, she has been in the custody of MA State DCF (Department of Children and Families) after trying to get treatment for mitochondrial disease at Boston Children's Hospital. But the hospital told Justina's parents that her symptoms were of "somatoform disorder", a psychiatric disorder. When the parents tried to have her transferred to Tufts Medical Center in Boston, the hospital called DCF in order to remove Justina from her parents, and has since been in the custody of DCF and Boston Children's Hospital.
Justina's condition has visibly worsened and DCF along with Children's Hospital refused to acknowledge her original diagnosis. Please help to bring Justina home!
