Latonia Jones and her family is asking support of her Executive Clemency Petition to President Barock Obama.
In 2008, Ms. Jones was sentenced to 26 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Convicted of a delivery of a controlled substance, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, stemming from a search of Ms. Jones home.
Ms.Jones has taken full responsibility of her poor decision and continues to better herself while incarcerated by continuing her education, graduate from dog training, grooming and restaurant management and enrolled at Shalom Ministry Bible College.
As a first time low level non-violent drug offender, Ms. Jones sentenced of 26 years is excessive. Congress passed a bill for low level non-violent offenders sentenced reduced.
