Many former presidents have considered freeing political prisoner Leonard Peltier, but none have had the courage to act. We petition the Obama administration to end the imprisonment of an innocent man who has already spent over 30 years in jail for killing two FBI agents that he clearly did not kill.
Although much of the evidence used against Peltier has since been proven false (such as three key witnesses who recanted their testimonies after confessing that the FBI detained them until they agreed to testify against Peltier), he has repeatedly been denied appeal.
We urge the President to examine the facts of the case and do what is right. Do not be a coward and fold to your opposition. Pardon Leonard Peltier.
