Free Leonard Peltier.

Created by E.A. on March 24, 2016

After spending nearly 40 in federal prison, it is time for President Obama to officially pardon Native Rights Activist Leonard Peltier.

Leonard Peltier, was sentenced to life in prison in relation to the killing of two FBI agents. However, the evidence used to convict Leonard Peltier is entirely faulty and goes against the American legal rights system of innocent until proven guilty.

Leonard Peltier's trial has been called a "mistrial" by Amnesty International, and calls for his release have been echoed by many others, including: Nelson Mandela (before his death) the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, The European Parliament, the Belgian Parliament and the Italian Parliament. The American Indian Movement considers Peltier to be a political prisoner of the US.
