Free Leonard Peltier

Created by N.C. on April 27, 2016

Leonard Peltier was a member of the American Indian Movement (AIM). He participated in seeking rights for his people and was involved in the 1975 battle at Wounded Knee on Pine Ridge Reservation. 2 FBI agents were killed. After several highly irregular trials which involved coercion of witnesses and false testimony, Leonard was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. This occurred during the time of J. Edgar Hoover when the FBI was directed to end the AIM organization by any means possible. Numerous doubts have been raised over his guilt and the fairness of Leonard's trial, with allegations and inconsistencies in the FBI's and prosecution's handling of this case. Leonard was 21 years old at the time! It is time to commute his sentence. Please return him to his people !
