Leonard Peltier is an innocent man who was falsely imprisioned in the 1970's as a scapegoat for the deaths of two FBI agents during the 1970's Wounded Knee uprising. Although two FBI agents were killed, dozens upon dozens of innocent Native Americans died during this time period. Keeping an innocent man in prision for crimes he did not commit dishonors the American government, it dishonors the president, and it perpetuates a crime committed upon an innocent man. President Obama, you received 95% of the Native American vote on November 6, 2012. The people have faith in you that you will keep your promises made before your first presidental election. Lastly, honor the Crow family and tribe who adopted you. Nothing can be gained at this point by keeping Leonard Peltier in prison.
