FREE MARISSA ALEXANDER Sentenced to 20 yrs for firing a warning shot in a Stand Your Ground state.

Created by N.F. on July 14, 2013

In light of George Zimmerman's acquittal in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin because of Florida's Stand Your Ground law, it is a travesty that Marissa Alexander was found guilty of attempted murder and sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Ms. Alexander was defending herself when she fired warning shots against her allegedly abusive husband inside her home in August of 2010. She told police it was to escape a brutal beating by her husband whom she had already taken out a protective order against.

We ask that Marissa be pardoned and released immediately.
