Ebrahim Sharif is sentenced to 5 years in prison by the Bahraini government because they fear his ability to change their realities. He long expressed reform measures that he believed would he establish democracy in Bahrain but with no response by the government.
He is a prominent leader of the opposition as the General Secretary of the National Democratic Action Society, a leftist political society in Bahrain.
