FREE THE PRISONERS FROM THE WAR ON DRUGS! MINOR DRUG OFFENDERS ARE FILLING AMERICA'S JAILS AND PRISONS!!

Created by J.V. on October 22, 2015

Minor drug offenders (possessing or selling less than 1 ounce), mostly poor minorities struggling with long term drug addiction and/or mental health issues, are presently incarcerated across the United States. Every day they spend in prison continues to deteriorate families, burden the taxpayers and already overcrowded prisons, making their eventual return to home and community less likely to be successful. Furthermore, we believe many State and Federal laws have extremely harsh and excessive Mandatory Minimum sentences for these non-violent offenders. We applaud your actions to fix this problem, now we ask you to pardon, or otherwise release from all state prisons in the United States anyone who is presently incarcerated on non violent minor drug offenses. Thank you
