Raid Badawi, a Saudi blogger, become the subject of an international campaign to save him from a sentence of 10 years in prison and 1,000 lashes spread over 20 weeks — a sentence so severe that doctors recommended that a second round of 50 lashes be postponed because he had not healed from the first.
Saudi Arabia regularly punishes offenders in barbaric and public ways. Death sentences are carried out through public beheadings and stonings.
Urge our President to work with the Saudi government to end these barbaric practices, and to gain the immediate release of Raif Badawi. Allow Raif and his family to come and live in the United States of America.
