Ramsey Muniz was the first Hispanic in the history of the great state of Texas to run for the office of Governor He became a lawyer despite having to overcome a myriad of obstacles, was a committed defender of human rights and fighter against discrimination, was an articulate yet passionately galvanizing public speaker, dedicated to giving the growing Hispanic community the dignity of having a political voice.
He has spent the last 34 years in federal prison, currently at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, serving a life without parole sentence.
