Carlos Coy of South Park Mexican was falsely accused and convicted of a heinous crime he did not commit. Being a man of color, all stops were pulled and guilt was assumed from the start, there was NO presumption of innocence. Accusations were brought forward by a personal "friend" who was angry when Mr. Coy refused to continue to be a victim of extortion. False testimony was presented at trial that condemned Mr. Coy to life in prison, without the possibility of parole. After his conviction, the alleged victim came forward and openly admitted the accusations were unfounded and completely false. The DA in the case REFUSED to acknowledge this information and would not allow true justice to be served. Mr. Coy was an inspiration to many and a pillar of community pride and support.
