UAB has decided to shut down their football, bowling, and rifle program due to "financial" reasons. This is not a decision made by the school, but instead by the University of Alabama Board of Trustees. The football program was unfairly shut down because of a grudge held by board member Paul Bryant, Jr. It is unfair to the students, players, coaches, and fans of UAB to have to lose their football program, bowling, and rifle team due to a grudge from decades ago. It has been proven that there is no financial proof to back what has been released by President Watts as the reason for the shutdown of UAB football.
