Recently, it was announced that the federal government intends to reduce the cost of school by supplementing tuition at 2 year community colleges around the country. As part of the drive to promote education to all citizens of our country, other actions could also be taken.
When it comes to scientific academic articles, researchers often have difficulty gathering the most relevant articles on a topic due to limited database access, or simply the lack of organization of said database filing systems. NASA has a great free database, but many of their articles are older and do not include the latest research on the topics covered.
It is proposed that the federal government initiate a program to host a national database of academic articles/books that authors can voluntarily contribute to.
