Voting law from state to state is causing voter disenfranchisement in both major political parties. Independent voices are not being heard in many states across our country because of broken voting systems. I am proposing a transparent voting system that can be applied to all states for national elections. Eliminate voting purges. Eliminate party affiliation rules. In New York you must declare your party designation six months before the polling date. This basically eliminates the voter's right to choose a candidate based on their performance during the primaries and silences the voice of the independent voter completely. This is shameful and un-American.
