The Freeing of Artistic Ideas Into The Public Domain

There are many artistic works or writings currently unable to reach the public domain. Quite simply the lack of works entering the public domain is important to acknowledge considering the next works will not be published until 2019. This does not just effect artistic works but also famous speeches and scientific papers that can be held onto, not reaching the public audience. The importance of old works being released into the public domain helps artists and scientists of today work on new creative innovations that can benefit society. My suggestion is that we decrease the entrance into the public domain to 40 years after its initial creation, this will help our creative community thrive and will also leave plenty of time for works to gain their creators a substantial amount of money
