In 2011, Dr Meriam Ibrahim (27) married Dr Daniel Wadi of New Hampshire at a church in Sudan. They have one son, Martin (20 mths) & their second son is to be born any day now. The Wadi family has endured long periods of separation. US Embassy staff continue to ignore little Martin's derived American citizenship & also deny Dr Meriam entry to the USA.
Three months ago, Dr Meriam & Martin were jailed. She has since been shackled, tortured & denied critical medical care for her & the boys. On May 15th, Dr Meriam was sentenced to death by hanging because she has refused to convert to Islam. Meriam will also receive 100 lashes soon after she gives birth. When a boy turns two or Meriam is hung, he will be "confiscated" to a Sudanese orphanage.
