Due to the kidnapping of American Naftali Frankel and Israelis Eyal Yifrach and Gilad Shaar, we demand that President Obama freeze all aid to the Hamas-Fatah Palestinian unity government, and investigate if it is a violation of U.S. law to fund or recognize the unity government.
As per the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006 and the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2014, there exists a prohibition on, “foreign assistance to Hamas or any power-sharing government of which Hamas is a member.”
Fatah’s official Facebook page calls for Palestinians to destroy CCTV footage, obstructing the search for a U.S. citizen and the citizens of our ally Israel. The U.S. must cease all aid to the Palestinian unity government as a result of their blatant bad faith acts, and demand the boys’ safe return.
