Freeze the lawmakers pay, instead of shutting down the federal government for a day if the budget does not get passed.

by passing this, we can encourage the two sides to work together. instead of all the bickering that seems to go on, and the right people would suffer consequence of a shortened paycheck, and the country would not suffer as a whole, just the people who can do something about it.
