Freeze the pay for Congress when they fail to meet budget deadlines.

Created by E.W. on February 28, 2013

Dear Mr. President-

In this time of sequestration, it is frustrating to us, the American People that the Congress we elected to work for us is refusing to resolve fiscal talks that have direct consequence to our lives. When these cuts take effect people lose their jobs, children's schools lose education dollars, and our military preparedness decreases. We elected Congress to do a job and to vote for programs and laws that would be to our benefit. We propose their pay be frozen, or a percentage thereof, when fiscal deadlines fail to be met. This provides Congress motivation to work together as well as extra funds for the budget should agreement not be reached. Please consider this and end the battles in Congress that can ruin citizen’s lives.
