It is well known that fuel prices, fuel usage and pollution are on the rise with very few viable plans to offset the effects. While the typical vehicles sold today average between 14 to 35 MPG depending on make and model, most vehicles with an engine displacement under 250CC will maintain close to 100MPG or more. Deregulating vehicles with small displacement engines will provide many individuals the freedom of transportation on an unprecedented level while reducing our country's dependence on fuel and reducing our carbon footprint in the process. The current laws on a federal and state level severely limit the feasibility and popularity of such vehicles for daily transportation with insurance, registration and licensing requirements and should be exempt for the betterment of our nation.
