In the wake of the violence in Kyiv, Ukraine on February 18th, 2014 and in accordance with the resolution adopted by the US Senate to impose sanctions and freeze assets in the event of further state violence against the peaceful protestors of Ukraine, we call on the US government to fulfill that promise. State violence has been renewed with impunity. Now is the time to prove our commitment to democratic values and human rights in the face of oppression and impose all possible targeted sanctions and freezing of assets against president Yanukovich and his cabinet and party members. Let us prove that we value freedom with more than sympathetic phrases. Now is the time for action.
